Located on the Big Island of Hawaii on the east side of the island, Waiakea Villas offers long and short term apartment rentals. As a major development in the city of Hilo since the early 1970's, the facility which consists of nine multi-level residential buildings and a commercial center, is located less than one mile from the Hilo airport.

The buildings are situated on fourteen acres which are tropically landscaped and include manmade streams that meander throughout the property. The three story wooden buildings are not elevator equipped. Each of the units are ceiling fan equipped, not air conditioned. The average temperature year round is 75 degrees. Vehicle parking is available and on an open basis. Coin operated washers and dryers are located in each building for convenience. Household trash disposal sites are located on property. The swimming pool is available for residents use. The US postal service delivers and collects mail from the premises.
